Economic Empowerment

Breaking the cycle of poverty

In partnership with Hand in Hand International and Hand in Hand Tanzania, we provide entrepreneurial and financial training to community members across ten villages, providing them with the tools they need to start and grow small businesses.

The impact of this initiative is clear: 2,077 small businesses have been launched, creating 3,066 jobs and increasing income for our communities by 30%. The lives of over 3,000 families (12,000 people)have been changed for the better.

Youth empowerment

Recognising the importance of supporting young people in acquiring economic skills, we have expanded this community empowerment project to launch the Future Entrepreneur Programme with Hand-In-Hand International. This five-year programme aims to equip 900 students aged 14 to 17 (50% male and 50% female) from four local schools with skills in entrepreneurship, financial management, climate resilience, and ICT (information technology) training.

Our goal is to equip young people with the skills needed to generate income earlier in their lives and proactively seize any opportunities that emerge.
